String Orchestra Members’ Area

BYST rehearses on Monday evenings from 7:00-8:30pm (September thru May) at Norview Middle School, located at 6325 Sewells Point Rd, Norfolk, VA 23513. **Park in the lot off of Partridge Street and enter the building through the single door located to the left of the main entrance.**  Download rehearsal parking and entry map.

ANNOUNCEMENTS!

  •  The first rehearsal for BYST is on Monday, September 11! We will begin with a short parent/student orientation, meet the conductors, and music distribution, followed by rehearsal. We cannot wait to see you there!
  • BYST will have the opportunity to travel to Northern Virginia in April 2024 to collaborate with our new friends at the Capitol Symphonic Youth Orchestras. Stay tuned for details, sign up information, trip cost, and more!

Pay Tuition

BYOV is committed to providing the most comprehensive music education experience for its members at an affordable tuition for the session. We are confident that our premier ensemble training program is an excellent value and investment in your young musician’s growth.

There has been a 5% increase in tuition for the 2023-2024 season. Tuition rates are based on number of rehearsals, rehearsal length, number of performances, venue costs, and instructional/operational costs for each ensemble.

The tuition for the 2023-2024 Season in BYST is $515.
